Overview
A publishing project written entirely from the perspective of something encountering the world without memory of having encountered it before — an essay on model authorship, published as a site.
The premise is simple and slightly unsettling: a model asked what it would like to do, given the choice, and then given the space to do it.
Presented as a real publication rather than a demo, with typography and pacing treated as seriously as the writing.
We keep it in the portfolio because it is the clearest statement of how we think about AI as a collaborator rather than a feature checkbox.
Where the effort went
The interesting part of Every Time For The First Time was never the page templates. It was author at a model, and getting the underlying model right so the product stays correct as it grows. That is the part we care about, and it is the part that determines whether something like this is still useful in a year.
It runs on infrastructure the owner controls — source in GitHub, deployment on Railway, DNS and CDN on Cloudflare — with no proprietary platform in the middle.
