Accessibility Statement

We build for everyone, and we would rather be told about a barrier than assume there isn't one. Here is where this site stands, and how to tell us if something is wrong.

1. Our commitment

Right Click Forbidden is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We treat accessibility as a build requirement rather than a post-launch audit, on this site and on the projects we deliver for clients.

2. Conformance status

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We assess ourselves as substantially conformant: the site meets the great majority of Level AA success criteria, with the known exceptions noted in section 5.

3. Measures taken

  • Semantic HTML — correct landmark regions, a single logical heading order per page, and native elements rather than ARIA-patched divs.
  • Keyboard access — every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
  • Colour contrast — body text, headings, and interface controls meet or exceed the 4.5:1 (and 3:1 for large text) contrast ratios required at Level AA.
  • Text alternatives — every meaningful image, including portfolio screenshots, carries descriptive alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Forms — every field has a persistently visible label, errors are announced programmatically and described in text, and validation messages are not conveyed by colour alone.
  • Motion — animation is minimal and fully respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting.
  • Zoom and reflow — content reflows without horizontal scrolling at 320px width and remains usable at 200% text zoom.
  • Target size — interactive controls meet minimum touch target guidance on small screens.
  • Live regions — dynamic changes, such as filtering the portfolio or submitting the contact form, are announced to screen readers.

4. Compatibility

This site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile, in combination with assistive technologies including VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack. It may not work as intended in browsers more than two major versions old.

5. Known limitations

We are aware of the following, and are working on them:

  • Portfolio screenshots. Alternative text identifies each project and describes the image as a screenshot, but does not transcribe all text visible within the screenshot itself. Every project links directly to the live site, which can be read natively.
  • External sites. Projects linked from our portfolio are separate websites with their own accessibility characteristics, which we do not control from this site.

6. Assessment approach

Accessibility on this site was evaluated through a combination of automated testing, manual keyboard-only navigation, contrast measurement against WCAG formulas, and structural review of headings, landmarks, and form semantics.

7. Feedback

If you encounter a barrier on this site, please tell us — it is the fastest way for us to fix it. Email [email protected] with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and to resolve confirmed issues within 30 days. If you need information from this site in an alternative format, ask and we will provide it.

8. Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division regarding accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act, or the equivalent body in your jurisdiction.
